Memory. Matzevi. Kovel...

The justice always triumphs....let in dozens of years! There was a big jewish cemetery at the Vladimir street in Kovel city (Volyn area). in the 1970s of the 20th century it was destroyed and the roads of the nearest military unit were lined with matzevot (tombstones). And after many years the matzevot were raised from under the asphalt. Unfortunately, most of them are broken, but even now we can see symbols and names on them. Matseva is a fount of history, you can learn from them the life and traditions of the community. On Sunday (September 10), volunteers of our community left for Kovel where they did very laborious, hard work on cleaning, sorting and storing tombstones for heir subsequent transfer to the territory of the former Jewish cemetery, are where them belong (WE REALLY HOPE). We have done a great, difficult, noble and G-d-pleasing work. And let the physical strength is not enough and we will go again, we are very, very grateful to our guys, who volunteered to help despite their day off. So great job, you guys. Thank you so much!!!
